Selected work

Engineering outcomes, from floor-level detail to system-level change.

01

Conformal Coat Equipment Transformation

Led the replacement of a legacy coating platform with a modern multi-tool system, coordinating the work from purchase through installation and validation.

  • Nordson-to-PVA equipment modernization
  • CAPEX, vendor and launch leadership
  • Program, fixture and documentation standardization
Outcome

Built a repeatable launch structure around 13 initial programs, operator training, thickness verification, standardized documentation and first-piece controls.

02

Depanel Capacity & Quality Upgrade

Owned the technical introduction of a dual-shuttle routing platform while improving an existing single-shuttle process.

  • Sayaka PWB routing and machine programming
  • Stack-up, material and copper-distribution review
  • Bit speed, spindle RPM, vacuum and tool-wear controls
Outcome

Improved accuracy, throughput and scrap prevention through fiducial-based path correction, purpose-built fixtures and disciplined tool-life controls.

03

Selective Solder Yield Recovery

Led a focused process-improvement effort to stabilize selective solder performance in a high-reliability electronics environment.

  • FPY and defect-Pareto analysis
  • Root cause and corrective-action leadership
  • Standardized process controls and first-piece inspection
Outcome

Increased first-pass yield from 55% to more than 90% while strengthening production visibility and response to recurring defects.

04

Automated Inspection Roadmap

Defined the case for replacing an aging X-ray system whose image quality created manual rescans and inspection inefficiency.

  • Current-state problem definition
  • Vendor demonstrations and technology review
  • AI / 3D inspection requirements
Outcome

Turned recurring image-quality pain into a structured modernization plan tied to inspection capability and labor efficiency.

Professional profile

Turning complex manufacturing challenges into controlled, repeatable processes.

I thrive on complex, unstructured manufacturing problems—turning data, floor-level observation and technical detail into practical systems. My approach connects long-range strategy with disciplined execution, clear standards and measurable results.

01

Process ownership

Translate complex manufacturing areas into stable, teachable systems.

02

Equipment & automation

Lead selection, installation, programming, qualification and handoff.

03

Design for manufacturability

Connect drawings, fixtures, tooling and production reality early.

04

Continuous improvement

Use observation, trials and data to remove constraints and risk.

05

Cross-functional leadership

Align operations, quality, EHS, facilities, IT, tool rooms and vendors.

06

Standard work

Create visual work instructions, process flows, DoMs and validation checklists.

Experience & education

A career built around manufacturing ownership.

Senior Specialist Manufacturing Engineer

L3Harris · Cincinnati, Ohio

Lead manufacturing engineering strategy across conformal coat, X-ray inspection, selective solder, depanel and parts forming. Delivered rapid-response improvements that increased FPY from 55% to more than 90%, implemented first-piece inspection and production tracking, and reduced quality escapes to fewer than 25 per month.

Industry context: L3Harris Cincinnati manufactures military fuzing and ordnance systems, precision electronics, safety-and-arming devices and proximity sensors for missiles, projectiles, rockets, UAVs and other defense platforms. Its automated electronics area produces high-reliability flex and circuit-card assemblies for safety-critical military components.
